The Hidden Gardens is an award-winning unique public greenspace and community development organisation located in Pollokshields, Glasgow.  It’s the perfect place for wild kids to get outside.

Situated in the grounds behind the Tramway Art Gallery and Café, 25 Albert Drive, this garden is a hidden gem for families, especially those with little wild kids!

Little imaginations can run wild in a natural space like this.

Kids can follow the paths to explore the nooks and crannies, both wild and manicured, waiting to delight little imaginations.

It looks like some wild kids were using the bird bath to create a magic potion.

Watch the birds have a bath among the trees, if it’s quiet enough! 😉

Each book contains wood from the tree it names so kids can feel and examine it.

The perfect venue for a wild café. Wild herbal tea anyone?

Read a book or two in the Library of the Woodlands and learn about the names, colours and textures different woods.  Or jump in the middle and set up a wild cafe and serve herbal tea and mudcakes to your ‘customers’ while they browse your selection of books ‘for sale.’

Enjoy a game of hide and seek in the trees and bushes or sit in the courtyard and enjoy a picnic, while you marvel at the height of the chimney, a relic of bygone days.

How to get there:

Take a train to Pollokshields East train station, from where it’s just a short skip and a jump.

First busses numbers 3, 38 and 57 go along Pollokshaws Road or 4,5 and 6 go along Victoria Road.
